ABOUT AALA

Aala is a group of InAppianz, formed 5 years back with the earnest intention of promoting the cultural and artistic talents of InAppianz. The name 'Aala' is a Malayalam word, which means the blacksmith's workshop. We had conducted two talent workshops in our office for all Inappianz to participate and display their creative and artistic talents. The workshops went on to be a great success by participation.Last year we tried to recreate the past memories of schools and colleges by bringing in the Aala Youth Festival, which became an unpredictable success with the overwhelming participation of the employees.

Aala Charity Mission

One of the other major activity of Aala is its charity mission. Aala plays a major role in InApp's CSR. Education plays a very vital role in the upward growth of any society and that was what Aala charity mission aims at improving, to provide all the possible support to the students who are good academically but not able to cop up with the educational expenses. Last three years, InApp-Aala charity mission was able to provide big support to the struggling students around us, especially in the coastal areas of Kadinamkulam, Mariyanadu and Perumathura. In this accadamic year we have provided study materials to Seven alternative schools at the costal area and SKV LPS Kadinamkulam. In 2016 we had Onam celebration and onam activities with the students of Alternative school at Mariyanadu. In 2015 we have conducted a one day camp (Kalapadana Kalari) at Govt. SKV LPS, Kadinamkulam to help pupil understand and sharpen their creative skills.

A welcome break from routine, great excitement, abundant talents, intense competition, dedicated preparations, good team work and strong bonds of lasting friendship - that’s the nostalgic school memories that Aala kindles in me. A prized personal possession is my first certificate received at an Elocution competition in Standard III and in later years my favourite event was Declamation. The passages from Shakespeare and the several poems from the recitation competitions are still vivid in memory. An incident many of my classmates still unfailingly remind me of, is my second prize in a Hindi Solo signing competition. Well, there were but two participants! After my splendid performance, there was a new rule introduced in school, whereby, irrespective of the number of participants, no certificate will be issued unless the performance is of basic acceptable quality. A royal snub indeed!

Do very much look forward to the Aala festival. Aala helps bring InAppians together, as we discover common interests and work together in a spirit of camaraderie. The benefits from Aala goes well beyond the event, as it enhances the feeling of being one happy family and boosts the overall happiness index. These higher levels of motivation translate to increased productivity and happy customers.

Congratulations to the team organising Aala and the very best to all the contestants.

Right from lower primary level to the last day of our college days each and every day was different. We see, hear, feel and learn something new everyday. We enjoyed the way we lived by learning, experiencing, participating, fighting, arguing, racing, challenging and what not. Youth festival is a real celebration. Just like any other festival it is part of our culture. In my school days I also have participated in Group songs, Bhajan, Guitar solo etc. More than performing on stage I liked the whole ambiance, enjoy watching events, passing comments and the backstage activities. Most thrilling part is the last minute changes, tensions, pleasant surprises. Each participant has a different story to tell about the performance and why he/she win or lose. End of the day we all feel like one and prepare for the next day ahead. Youth festival helps us refresh our mind, life and creativity. Aala youth festival is a time machine to travel back to our school days. I sincerely thank Aala group for organising this and bringing back nostalgic bygone days. Wish all participants the best and enjoy to the fullest.

Youth Festival is magical word that brings mixed feelings in most of us. The time we spend for practices, the arguments we had to choose themes, fights after announcing the winners, all these are valuable memories. When I look back, most striking memory points to my college days where we hosted a Fest with more than 20 colleges as participants. I have been one of the volunteers and participant of events like Movie spoof, Adzap, Drama and Mime. All roles were enjoyed in all ways and those cherishable moments will remain with me forever.
